Our work focuses on characterizing dynamical properties of physical systems from first principles. This includes studying the runtimes and noise resilience of quantum algorithms, devising thermodynamic protocols in the quantum regime, and studying quantum sensors, among other topics. We enjoy thinking about interdisciplinary topics at the intersection of information theory, computing, and thermodynamics. 

Our team is a part of the Quantum and Condensed Matter Physics Group (T4) at Los Alamos National Laboratory. We hold a yearly Quantum Computing Summer School with applications open between December and January.
